MODENAS will be assembling several 650cc models through CKD for the national market. MODENAS Chief Executive Officer, Roslan Roskan, confirmed that among the models that will be installed locally include the Versys 650, Ninja 650 and Z650.
Interestingly, MODENAS will introduce the 650cc model as early as the end of this year through the Vulcan S 650 model.
The Vulcan S 650 will be rebranded as MODENAS and will be marketed at the end of 2022. The Vulcan S 650 is powered by a 649cc parallel-twin engine that offers 60 hp at 7,500rpm and 63Nm at 6,600rpm.
Meanwhile, good news for the ‘touring’ leg, as MODENAS will also be rebranding the popular ‘sport tourer’ model, the Versys 650. Roslan confirmed that the model will be launched next year.
The MODENAS Versys 650 will be based on the latest Kawasaki Versys 650 model which comes with the latest upgrades including a TFT screen and ‘traction control’ function.
Like the Vulcan S, the Versys 650 is also powered by a 649cc parallel-twin engine and offers 65.7hp at 8,500rpm and 61Nm at 7,000rpm.
