After successfully introducing the V-Strom 650 XT, SV650, GSX-R1000, GSX-R1000R, Katana 1000, V-Strom 1050 XT and Hayabusa previously, Suzuki Malaysia will continue to strengthen the Japanese motorcycle brand in Malaysia with two new models.

The Suzuki GSX-S1000 is a more powerful version of the GSX-S750 and enters the second generation, six years after the first generation was introduced in 2015.

Apart from coming with an all-new design, the GSX-S1000 also received various latest upgrades including the 999cc 4-inline engine now reaching the Euro 5 standard and capable of producing 150hp at 11,000rpm compared to 143hp in the previous generation.

The maxi-scooter segment in Malaysia will be more vibrant with the Suzuki Burgman 400. This maxi scooter has been upgraded with a 400cc single-cylinder engine that has been upgraded with the use of a twin-spark to ensure more efficient combustion.

The ‘timing’ of the engine has also been improved to make it easier to start, as well as smoother during ‘idling’. The Burgman 400 engine also reaches the Euro 5 standard.

Although the overall design does not seem to change, however, this Burgman 400 comes with the latest electronic functions such as traction control and ABS.

The lower seating area is also quite large with a capacity of 42L while the lighting is also better with the LED lighting system. This scooter is also equipped with a 12V socket.

For now, Suzuki Malaysia has yet to announce the official price for these two models but it is expected to be done in the near future.

Referring to the Facebook post of Suzuki Malaysia distributor, the Suzuki Burgman 400 comes with a price tag of RM45,999.
