Ducati unveils the all-new Ducati Multistrada V4 lineup during the first episode of the Ducati World Première 2021 web series. For 2021, there are three variants of the Multistrada, namely V4, V4 S and V 4 S Sport.
In case you missed our coverage on the Ducati World Première 2021, here is a quick recap. A week back Ducati announced they would be unveiling their new 2021 product range through a series of 5 web episodes. Scheduled from November 4th – December 2nd, each of these episodes goes live every Wednesday at 19:00 (CET).
Back in October Ducati showcased the new Multistrada V4’s Granturismo V4 engine and its radar system. As planned, Ducati just unveiled the much anticipated Ducati Multistrada V4 lineup during the first episode of the Ducati World Première 2021 web series yesterday. Well, folks, the wait is over, here is everything you need to know about the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 lineup.
2021 Ducati Multistrada V4
Since its introduction in 2003, the Multistrada has evolved over the past 13 years. Ducati says they wanted the Multistrada V4 to be the best “Multi” ever. In short, the new Multistrada fulfils the sport, touring, urban and enduro needs. For 2021, Ducati presented 3 variants of the Multistrada V4 – the V4, V4 S and V4 S Sport.
Design
In the case of the design, Ducati designers have worked on the overall proportion and compactness of the bike to favour the perfect combination of both form and function.
Whether it’s the Multistrada V4, V4 S or the V4 S Sport, Ducati has done a tremendous job with the design from the ground up. We think the new entire 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 lineup look aggressive yet sublime.
Speaking of the form and function, the new Multistrada V4’s muscular lines integrate the 22-litre tank. On the other hand, the slim rear ensures optimal riding position even when standing in off-road sections. Aside from this, Ducati says the overall aerodynamics from the front to rear were aimed to guarantee maximum rider comfort.
Chassis
The Multistrada V4 is built around an aluminium monocoque frame and is equipped with a 19-inch front wheel and double-sided swingarm which is capable of accommodating spoke wheels. Aside from this, the new Multistrada weighs 215 kg dry and comes with a wheelbase of 1567mm and 220mm ground clearance, making it versatile for on and off-road use.
Engine
In the case of the engine, the Multistrada V4 features Ducati’s new Euro 5 compliant V4 Grandturismo engine. The new lightweight V4 Grandturismo engine weighs just 66.7 kg and comes in a compact size. Aside from this, on the performance side, the new engine stands out in both low and high revs.
Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the new Multistrada V4 with its 1,158cc Grandturismo engine puts out 170 hp @ 10,500 rpm and 125 Nm of peak torque @ 8,750 rpm. One of the factors that outstand the most is the maintenance interval. Thanks to Ducati’s intensive work around the Non- Desmo Grandturismo engine, the new V4 engine’s oil change interval is scheduled for every 15,000 km and the valve clearance check is required every 60,000 km.

Suspension
In the case of the suspension, the Multistrada V4 gets 50mm fully adjustable USD front fork and fully adjustable monoshock with remote spring preload adjustment at the rear.
The Multistrada V4 S and V4 S Sport come equipped with 50mm fully adjustable USD front fork with electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment with Ducati Skyhook Suspension and a fully adjustable monoshock with electronic adjustment and Ducati Skyhook Suspension set up at the rear.
Brakes
On the standard Multistrada V4, braking duties are done via 320 mm semi-floating discs with radially mounted Brembo monobloc 4-piston callipers up front and 265 mm disc with Brembo 2-piston floating calliper at the rear.
As for the Multistrada V4 S and V4 S Sport, they both get 330 mm semi-floating discs with radially mounted Brembo M50 Stylema monobloc 4-piston callipers up front and 265 mm disc with Brembo 2-piston floating calliper at the rear.
Electronic Package
The new Multistrada V4 packs an impressive electronic package that ensures comfort, safety, performance and connectivity. As standard, the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 comes with cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control. In the case of the Multistrada V4 S and V4 S Sport; they both get Cornering Lights and Vehicle Hold Control which makes it easy to restart the bike on slopes. Aside from this, the IMU on the Multistrada V4 S and V4 S Sport are connected to the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) control system with Autoleveling function.
Aside from this, the Multistrada V4 gets backlit handlebar switches and a 5″ TFT colour display. Whereas the Multistrada V4 S and V4 S Sport, come equipped with a 6.5″ TFT colour display with Ducati Connect and a full-map navigation system.
Speaking of the recently announced front and rear radar system, it’s standard on all the 3 variants. The radar system allows the use of Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection which makes riding more comfortable and safe.
Options and availability
The Multistrada V4 is only available in red and has many different configuration possibilities.
As for the Multistrada V4 S, it is available in Aviator Grey and red. Buyers also get the option to choose between alloy and spoked wheels.
Ducati also offers 5 different package configurations for this model: Essential, Travel, Radar, Performance and Full. You can configure your options from Ducati’s official Multistrada V4 configuration site here.
The third Multistrada V4 S Sport is offered in a dedicated livery package. The V4 S comes standard with the Performance package, an Akrapovič exhaust system and a carbon front fender.
Ducati announced the new 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 will be available in Ducati dealerships starting end of November 2020. In the case of Malaysia; we think Ducati Malaysia would launch the new 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 in the upcoming months.
