According to a report on GaadiWaadi.com , Indian brand Royal Enfield may be facing a big delay on deliveries of 2019 bikes, specifically the newest jewel Continental GT and Interceptor, both models using the new twin cylinder engine with 650 cc.
Production at the Tamil Nadu plant has come to a stop for the last 29 days, and after this period, the Indian police has had to detain 1500 workers from Royal Enfield, and with so many of its workforce being detained at this plant, the Indian manufacturer will surely suffer a blow to its production plans, although for the moment, there’s no official word about this possible delay in deliveries.
In the same area of the Tamil Nadu plant, there’s also a Yamaha production facility which also lost 200 workers that were detained during this strike action against the Japanese brand. But unlike Royal Enfield, Yamaha shouldn’t have a big problem to maintain its production at full speed.
