Ducati’s off-road ambitions continue to expand, as the Bologna manufacturer confirms a major evolution of its MXGP programme for 2026. The official Ducati MXGP team will now be operated by Louis Vosters’ Dutch squad, which will field three factory Desmo450 MX machines.

This partnership marks Ducati’s second year in the FIM Motocross World Championship and establishes a stronger, more deeply-anchored presence within the MXGP paddock. It also aligns Ducati with one of the most respected and proven structures in the championship.

A powerhouse Dutch structure behind the factory effort

Louis Vosters, a long-established force in motocross business and team management, has invested and built within MXGP for nearly a decade. First, a sponsor and then a team owner. His operation, headquartered in Bergeijk near Lommel, the sport’s symbolic epicentre, is recognised for its organisation, rider development and big result consistency.

From 2026, his team will become the official Ducati MXGP Factory Team.

The 2026 rider lineup

The squad will comprise three factory riders:

  • Jeremy Seewer, remaining with Ducati after twice finishing on the MXGP podium this year
  • Andrea Bonacorsi, one of Italy’s most exciting young talents and a former double European Champion
  • Calvin Vlaanderen, South African-born Dutch ace and GP winner in both MX2 and MXGP

Bonacorsi’s first MXGP season already delivered an eighth-place championship finish and his first premier class podium, achieved under Vosters’ structure. Vlaanderen brings Grand Prix-winning experience, a Dutch 500 title, and a Motocross of Nations victory with the Netherlands.

Ducati: pushing the motocross project to the front

Ducati Corse Off-Road GM Paolo Ciabatti emphasised the strategic intent. Working with Vosters is not just about 2026, it’s about building a winning foundation.

A new era begins

With the Desmo450 MX already making waves, Ducati’s next step is clear: win at the highest level of motocross. With an elite Dutch team infrastructure, three factory riders and a multi-year plan, Ducati’s 2026 MXGP assault has all the hallmarks of a serious world title push.
