Italian motorcycle maker Ducati saw a slight drop in global deliveries in 2025, with 50,985 motorcycles shipped worldwide. That’s about 7% lower than 2024, when the brand delivered 54,495 bikes through its network of around 800 dealerships.
According to Ducati, the decline wasn’t caused by a single issue. A mix of global economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and fluctuating exchange rates made conditions tougher across several markets. Rising production costs in Europe also added pressure during the year.
Another factor was regulation. Popular models like the Monster, Hypermotard, and DesertX were temporarily limited in supply while being updated to meet Euro 5+ emissions standards. These bikes are expected to return to showrooms starting February with a new V-twin engine.
Despite the overall drop, some markets performed well. Italy remained Ducati’s largest market with 8,803 bikes sold, followed by the United States with 7,268 units, which actually grew by 4%. Meanwhile, Germany recorded 5,759 deliveries, though it saw a decline. Outside Europe, Japan posted a solid 11% increase, while China experienced a sharp 31% drop, continuing a downward trend.
In terms of models, the Ducati Multistrada range remained the most popular with 13,873 units delivered globally. The Ducati Panigale superbike family followed with 10,606 bikes, while the Ducati Scrambler lineup recorded 5,814 units.
Even with slower sales, Ducati still had a strong year in motorsport. The company continued its dominance in MotoGP, winning the Riders’ Title and extending its Constructors’ championship streak, while also adding another Manufacturers’ title in the Superbike World Championship.
With updated models returning to dealerships and new bikes already launched, Ducati is heading into 2026 hoping to regain momentum.
