Fermín Aldeguer is positively progressing in his recovery as the young Spanish rider continues to work relentlessly toward full fitness. However, despite encouraging improvements, he will not be fit in time for the upcoming Buriram test and the season-opening round in Thailand.
Aldeguer has been pushing forward with determination and perseverance throughout his rehabilitation process. Medical updates indicate that his recovery is moving faster than initially expected, but not sufficiently to allow a safe return to competitive action just yet.

Thailand Absence Confirmed
The decision has been made to prioritise Aldeguer’s long-term condition over an early comeback. As a result, he will sit out both the official tests in Buriram and the opening race of the season in Thailand.
Stepping in as his replacement will be experienced Italian test rider Michele Pirro, who will take over riding duties during Aldeguer’s absence. Pirro’s experience and technical understanding are expected to provide valuable continuity for the team during this transitional period.

Focus Remains On Full Recovery
While missing the first race weekend is undoubtedly a setback, Aldeguer remains fully committed to returning at 100% fitness. The team and medical staff are aligned in ensuring that his comeback is timed correctly, with no unnecessary risks taken early in the campaign.
Further updates regarding his expected return date are anticipated in the coming weeks as recovery milestones continue to be assessed.
For now, Aldeguer’s focus remains clear: complete rehabilitation, regain peak physical condition, and return to racing stronger than ever.
