The latest round of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (ATC) proved to be both a test of endurance and a valuable learning experience for Malaysian riders Sharf Muhriz and Adam Danial, who continued to show progress and determination throughout the weekend.

From the opening practice sessions, both riders displayed encouraging improvements in pace. Their FP1 and FP2 lap times reflected growing confidence on their Honda NSF250R machines and a better understanding of race setup and rhythm.

Qualifying

During Qualifying, Adam Danial clocked the 12th-fastest time, securing a competitive spot on the starting grid. Meanwhile, Sharf Muhriz faced some difficulties after losing the slipstream from the main pack, which limited his ability to record his best lap. He eventually settled for 17th on the grid, setting the stage for a determined comeback in the races.

Race 1

In dry and favourable conditions, Sharf made a strong start from 17th position, executing several impressive overtakes to climb up the order and finish 11th, a solid recovery that highlighted his racecraft and perseverance.

Adam, on the other hand, endured a slower start and was unable to stay with the leading group, finishing just outside the top ten, despite maintaining a consistent pace throughout the race.

Race 2

The second race was even more intense, with tighter battles across the field. Sharf fought valiantly in the second group of riders and looked set for a top-six finish before misfortune struck on lap 10, when he suffered a high-side crash while running in seventh place.

Adam, who started from 12th, tried to capitalise on the ensuing chaos but struggled to break into the top ten, eventually crossing the line in 13th place.

Looking Ahead

With just one round remaining, the Asia Talent Cup season finale scheduled for 24–25 October 2025 at the Sepang International Circuit, both Malaysian riders are expected to come back stronger. Racing on home soil, Sharf and Adam will have the advantage of local track familiarity and strong home support as they aim to close their 2025 campaign on a high note.
