Ducati’s pursuit of beauty has always extended beyond the road, and now, it accelerates into the world of contemporary art. In its latest collaboration, the iconic Italian motorcycle brand has partnered with rising artist Andrea Crespi to reinterpret the Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia, not as a machine, but as a canvas for motion and emotion.

The result? A striking 1:1 scale artwork, crafted in the artist’s signature style, where speed, lines, and optical illusion converge into a vibrant homage to Italian design, sport, and performance.

Where Motorcycles Meet Museums

Inspired by the limited-edition Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia, Crespi’s creation blends dynamism and discipline, using Ducati’s distinctive Azzurro livery. The same shade that adorned the bikes when they clinched first and second at Mugello 2024. The piece transforms the Tricolore’s form into a network of continuous blue lines that never intersect, generating a powerful illusion of motion and depth.

It’s not just a static display. It’s a visual acceleration.

The artwork has now joined the Fondazione Ducati corporate collection. The public can witness it in a special showcase at the Ducati Museum starting in July 2025.

Crespi’s Panigale V4: Art, Engineered

What sets this project apart is how deeply it mirrors Ducati’s philosophy. Crespi, known for his work exploring the interplay of physical and digital perception, has exhibited globally—from Milan’s Triennale to Times Square. His aesthetic resonates with Ducati’s own design ethos: precise, expressive, and unapologetically Italian.

This isn’t Ducati’s first foray into the art world. Past collaborations include:

  • “Fortitudo Mea Levitate” – a sculpture carved from Acquabianca marble inspired by the Panigale’s form
  • Participation in Arte Fiera with the Officina Arte Ducati Award, spotlighting young artists aligned with the brand’s values
  • Showcases at Milan Design Week and Art Basel Miami, emphasising Ducati’s commitment to design and cultural dialogue

Limited Edition Lithographs for Riders

In a rare move that bridges owner and artist, Crespi created 163 lithographs—one for each Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia produced. He signed and numbered each piece, matching it to the production number of the corresponding motorcycle. This exclusive pairing of machine and art adds a new layer of individuality and emotional connection to the collector’s experience.

Ducati’s Creative Legacy Rolls On

From racetracks to galleries, Ducati continues to prove that technology, speed, and beauty can come together into a single vision. This collaboration with Crespi reflects a deeper mission: to celebrate Italian excellence in every form, be it mechanical, cultural, or artistic.
