The gates are about to drop on the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing is rolling in with one of its strongest lineups in years. All eyes are on reigning 450MX champion Chase Sexton, who’s back to defend his title when the season kicks off this Saturday, May 24, at Fox Raceway in Pala, California.

After a dominant 2024 season that saw him take seven round wins and the championship crown, Sexton is back on the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION—this time with the #1 plate. Still just 25, the Illinois native is staying grounded, opting for consistency and preparation over pressure.

“I feel good and am healthy, so that’s a great start,” said Sexton. “There’s always a lot of industry talk about pressure when you’re defending a title. But for me, I treat it like any other season. I keep my head down and trust the process.”

Joining him in the premier class is Aaron Plessinger. Plessinger has quietly become one of the most reliable podium contenders in the paddock. After finishing third in the standings for two years in a row, and with a fresh contract extension inked through 2026, Plessinger is ready to turn consistency into a full-on title push.

“Outdoors is my favorite series,” Plessinger said. “I’ve been putting in the motos, getting the bike dialed, and I’m pumped to be back on the gate. I really think I can contend for the title this year.”

On the 250MX side, Tom Vialle returns with unfinished business. The Frenchman has already conquered Europe as a two-time MX2 World Champion. Not only that but Vialle has recently added back-to-back 250SX East titles in Supercross. Now, he has his sights set on the only title missing from his 250 résumé: the AMA 250MX Championship.

“This could be my last season on the 250 outdoors, so I want to go for it,” said Vialle. “The bike feels great, testing has gone well, and I’m ready to fight for this championship.”

Backing him up is Julien Beaumer, the 2024 250MX Rookie of the Year and rising star from Lake Havasu, Arizona. After a breakout Supercross campaign, Beaumer returns to familiar terrain in SoCal and is hungry to prove he belongs at the top.

“I’ve grown up riding in SoCal, so kicking off the season at Pala feels like home,” Beaumer shared. “Everything’s gone to plan in training, and I’m ready to show what I’ve got.”

Team Manager Ian Harrison summed up the team’s outlook best. “We’re coming off a strong Supercross season, and the transition to outdoors is always hectic, but we’re confident in our preparation. The goal is simple—be competitive from Round 1 and keep building from there.”

With a blend of experience, rising talent, and serious hardware, Red Bull KTM is charging into the second phase of the SuperMotocross World Championship, ready to fight for titles across both classes. The countdown to Pala is almost over.

Let the battle begin.
