This weekend’s French Grand Prix at Le Mans will see the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team debut a striking new livery in celebration of the 70th anniversary of its main partner, Alpine. The Yamaha YZR-M1 machines of Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira will hit the grid on Sunday in the commemorative design, marking the sixth round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship.

Unveiled dramatically on the main straight at Le Mans and broadcast live to thousands of fans in the grandstands and at home, the livery was created by Alpine’s in-house team. Drawing inspiration from the Alpine A424 Hypercar, a star of the World Endurance Championship, the design blends the French tricolour with elements of boldness and agility, paying tribute to Alpine’s origins and legacy.

This special edition YZR-M1 proudly echoes the vision of Alpine founder Jean Rédélé, who believed performance and elegance could coexist. The motorcycle’s livery features the same blue, white, and red that adorned the first Alpine A106s presented in 1955 at the historic Renault facility in Boulogne-Billancourt. A commemorative 70th anniversary badge has also been added to the front of the bike, further cementing its significance.

The collaboration between Prima Pramac Yamaha and Alpine represents a celebration of shared racing spirit, especially poignant at Le Mans, a circuit steeped in French motorsport heritage. The new livery also symbolises Alpine’s growing footprint across global motorsport, with its DNA of French elegance, audacity, and performance on full display in both two- and four-wheeled racing.

Team Principal Paolo Campinoti said, “Being able to race at Le Mans with the special livery dedicated to Alpine is a tremendous honor for all of us at Prima Pramac Yamaha. This is a legendary venue in the history of motorsport—everywhere you go, you can feel the racing spirit in the air, thanks to one of the largest and most passionate crowds in the entire championship. Just being on the starting grid at this magical track is already something special. But doing so while being associated with a brand like Alpine—which has written unforgettable chapters in racing history and is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year—makes our participation even more extraordinary.”

Antonino Labate, VP Alpine Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience, added: “Le Mans is the quintessence of French motor racing and holds a special place in Alpine’s history. We wanted to create a unique livery for the French MotoGP Grand Prix that bridges the gap between our various motorsport commitments while celebrating our heritage. For the brand’s 70th anniversary, we wanted this motorcycle, like our racing cars, to express our DNA of French elegance, audacity and performance.”
