Indian Motorcycles has introduced the new PowerPlus family of V-twin engines, bringing modern performance to the Roadmaster and Chieftain. These high-performance baggers now feature a liquid-cooled, overhead-cam, 1,834 cc (112 cubic inch) engine delivering 126 horsepower and 133 pound-feet of torque. The six-speed sequential transmission ensures smooth power delivery, while Indian claims the engine offers more torque across the rev range, reducing the need for frequent shifting.

Braking is handled by Brembo callipers, ensuring strong stopping power for these heavyweight machines. Riders looking for more performance can opt for a Stage 1 slip-on exhaust and a PowerPlus intake kit. These upgrades enhance both sound and performance, making the bikes even more engaging to ride.

Indian Motorcycles has also made key styling and ergonomic updates. The latest Roadmaster and Chieftain feature redesigned fairings for improved aerodynamics.

LED headlights enhance visibility, while a more compact stance gives the bikes a sleeker appearance. All models in the PowerPlus family come with new Rider Backrests designed to improve lower back support, keeping riders comfortable mile after mile. A 12-inch Flare windshield adds wind protection for highway cruising.

Additional accessories are available for further customization. Indian offers Headdress floorboards, heel shifters, and a Quick Release Low Profile trunk, which provides 12 gallons of storage capacity. These options add both style and functionality to the motorcycles.

Technology plays a significant role in the new models. Indian has equipped the Roadmaster and Chieftain with Bike Hold Control, an Electronic Combined Braking System, and Blind Spot Warning. Tailgate Warning and Rear Collision Warning further enhance safety. The Ride Command display integrates these features, while Apple CarPlay comes standard, offering seamless connectivity on the road.

Pricing reflects the premium nature of these motorcycles. The Chieftain starts at $26,499, while the Roadmaster begins at $31,999. The Dark Horse variants command a higher price, adding exclusive styling elements.

Indian Motorcycles emphasizes that the expansion of the PowerPlus family continues its legacy of innovation.

The brand was the first to introduce liquid-cooled engines and mono-shock rear suspension in the V-twin category. The PowerPlus models build on this history, offering cutting-edge technology and performance for riders seeking a powerful and refined bagger experience.

These motorcycles will be available at Indian dealerships next month. Enthusiasts eager to experience the latest in V-twin performance won’t have to wait long to take them on the open road.
