Boon Siew Honda (BSH) has officially launched the 2025 Honda CB650R and CBR650R motorcycles in Malaysia, marking a milestone as the first models in the lineup to feature Honda’s innovative E-Clutch technology. This new system allows for clutch-free gear shifting while still providing the option for manual engagement, making the bikes more accessible and enjoyable for riders of all experience levels.

Both the CB650R naked bike and the CBR650R sportbike are powered by a liquid-cooled, 649cc inline-four engine, delivering 93.8 hp at 12,000 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. Enhancing the rider experience, the motorcycles come equipped with a 5-inch full-colour TFT-LCD display featuring Honda RoadSync for seamless smartphone connectivity.

The suspension setup includes a 41mm Showa Separate Function Front Fork Big Piston (SFF-BP) inverted fork at the front and a 10-setting preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Both models share a 15.4-litre fuel tank and feature 17-inch alloy wheels paired with 120/70 (front) and 180/55 (rear) tyres.

For braking performance, both bikes are equipped with dual 310mm discs and radial-mount Nissin four-piston callipers at the front, along with a 240mm single rear disc and single-piston calliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard across both models.

Styling details distinguish the two motorcycles. The CBR650R boasts dual LED headlights inspired by Honda’s racing models, such as the CBR1000RR-R and CBR600RR, while the CB650R continues with its Neo Sports Café aesthetic. The CB650R weighs 207 kg, while the CBR650R is slightly heavier at 211 kg. Both motorcycles feature an 810mm seat height, making them accessible to a broad range of riders.

The CB650R is priced at RM47,999, with colour options including Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, Matte Laurel Green Metallic, and Candy Chromosphere Red. Meanwhile, the CBR650R is available at RM49,999, offered in Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Metallic, inspired by Honda’s racing pedigree.
