Ryvid, the Southern California-based manufacturer that’s been making waves in the electric motorcycle market, has just unveiled its latest offering: the Ryvid Outset. This new model, based on the same platform as its popular Ryvid Anthem, is poised to revolutionize the industry with its affordability and versatility.

At $5,995, the Ryvid Outset aims to be the most affordable highway-capable electric motorcycle in the US. This follows Ryvid’s price drop for the Anthem, now at $6,495. While the Anthem is a better choice for commuting, the Outset offers versatility for both daily rides and weekend adventures.

The Outset stands out with its scrambler-style design. It offers versatility for riders, seamlessly transitioning between urban streets and rugged terrains. This opens up new possibilities for exploration beyond the city limits.

One of the key highlights of both the Ryvid Anthem and the Outset is their innovative folded metal frame. It not only provides structural integrity but also keeps the weight remarkably low at just 12 lbs (5 kg). This lightweight construction contributes to the bikes’ agility and manoeuvrability, especially in urban environments.

The model houses a 72V system and features a 4.3 kWh removable battery. The Outset delivers impressive performance despite its compact size. In Eco mode, riders can expect a range of up to 70 miles (120 km) per charge. This makes it an ideal companion for daily commutes and short trips around town.

The Outset is equipped with a motor rated at 10 hp continuous and 20 hp peak. With 53 ft-lb of torque, the model is able to reach top speeds of over 75 mph (120 km/h). Additionally, the electric motor offers the convenience of regenerative braking and reverse gear, addressing common challenges faced by motorcycle riders in parking situations.

The Outset shares components with the Ryvid Anthem. However, it has unique features for dual-purpose riding. These include an upright position, a wider handlebar, and a longer kickstand. It also has different headlight designs and mirrors.

Ryvid’s new facility in San Bernardino helps increase manufacturing capabilities. It also leads to better supplier costs. This allows Ryvid to lower Anthem’s price and introduce the Outset competitively. According to Dong Tran, the Founder and CEO of Ryvid, the goal has always been to make electric motorcycles more accessible to a broader audience. With the launch of the Ryvid Outset and the revised pricing for the Anthem, Ryvid is setting a new benchmark for affordability in the electric motorcycle market.

For early adopters who recently purchased the Ryvid Anthem at a higher price, Ryvid offers financial incentives and the option to upgrade to the Outset at a discounted rate. This underscores Ryvid’s commitment to customer satisfaction and its dedication to advancing the electric mobility sector.

With its innovative design, impressive performance, and unbeatable price point, the Ryvid Outset is ready to disrupt the electric motorcycle market and pave the way for a new era of sustainable urban transportation.
