In the ever-evolving world of adventure motorcycles, Ducati has remained a prominent name, celebrated for its fusion of Italian style and high-performance engineering. In 2024, the motorcycle manufacturer is all geared up to unleash a beast that’s set to redefine the adventure riding experience – the Ducati DesertX Rally. With its sleek design, cutting-edge technology, and the promise of off-road excellence, the DesertX Rally is all set to conquer both hearts and terrains.
Ducati has always opted to announce its latest bikes through its Ducati World Premier. Thus far, we can expect about five more new bikes coming soon. One of which is the DesertX Rally which has been seen undergoing test sessions in Europe.
The Ducati DesertX Rally stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to combining functionality with aesthetics.
It boasts a retro rally bike design that exudes a sense of nostalgia while embracing modernity. Its motocross bike-like long, tall front fender definitely steals the show. We can see it with the rugged fork protectors that extend to the upper tubes and wrap around the stanchions.
We can also see a new engine bash plate with extra reinforcements with the trellis chassis along with a forged carbon construction (look at the texture). Its angular lines, dual headlights, and tall windshield are not just for show; they enhance aerodynamics and protect the rider during off-road excursions.
The Rally saddle is a dual-tone flat single-piece seat that prioritises the comfort of the rider. The seat height is higher than the DesertX but the riding triangle is likely to remain the same.
The new livery has a hint of red under it, matching the subframe and the pillion grab. The tank and the rear fender dons a white shade, resulting in a dual-tone livery.
The final aesthetic addition is a special livery. Look closely at the covered plastics up top, and you can see a red colour lurking under it. The subframe and pillion grab rail are red as well. Meanwhile, the tank appears to have a white shade and so does the rear fender. So the end result should be a dual-tone livery, with more of Ducati’s signature red.
Under the sleek exterior, the DesertX Rally packs a powerful punch with the same Testateretta 11-degree 937cc engine. With 110 horsepower at 9,250 RPM and 68 lb-ft of torque at 6,500 RPM, it ensures an exhilarating riding experience on all terrains.
The bike comes with advanced electronics, including the same five-inch TFT instrument cluster as the non-Rally model. It gives riders full access to the ride modes, power modes and controls.
As the motorcycle world continues to evolve, Ducati remains at the forefront, opening up all the possibilities in adventure riding.
