After introducing several new models including the BKX250 and TNT 500, Benelli has also inaugurated the launch of the TRK800 for the global market.
The 2023 model is a new member of the TRK family joining the TRK251, TRK502 and TRK702.
According to Benelli, the TRK800 is powered by a parallel-twin 754cc 4-stroke engine with liquid cooling borrowed from the Leoncino 800. As a result, the TRK800 produces 76.2hp at 8,500rpm and 67Nm at 6,500rpm.
The engine capacity indirectly places the TRK800 as a competitor to the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE and KTM 890 Adventure even though both produce higher power.
Like the TRK502, this new model also features ‘adventure’ motorcycle elements with a wide and long mudguard, high wind barrier, handguard, radiator guard, and spoke-type rims. The headlamps are also well-designed and feature LED lighting with DRLs.
This TRK800 comes with various premium features including a 50mm ‘upside/down’ type front fork from Marzocchi that can be adjusted (preload/rebound).
Brake equipment consists of twin 320mm front brake discs with 260mm rear discs matched with Brembo brake calipers and a TFT screen.
Like other 2023 models, this Benelli TRK800 will also be marketed from mid-2023 but it is not confirmed when the launch date will be for the Malaysian market.
For the record, Benelli also offers the TRK702 and TRK702 X which were launched earlier around last August. The model was initially marketed in China but is expected to be marketed in other regions as well.
