Benelli has already filed for the TRK 702 trademark around April, confirming the arrival of a bigger ‘adventure’ motorcycle in addition to the TRK 502.
Entering August, the Italian-Chinese motorcycle brand officially launched the Benelli TRK 702 in China. Like the TRK 502 that achieved the status of the most popular motorcycle in Italy, Benelli hopes that the TRK 702 will also be able to do the same.
For this reason, Benelli will also introduce the TRK 702 in the European market. Interestingly, the model will only carry the Benelli badge and will not be branded as QJMotor in other markets.
The main difference between the TRK 702 and the TRK 502 is in the engine department, as the larger ADV model is powered by an all-new 693cc parallel-twin platform developed by Benelli. The engine produces 75hp at 8,500rpm and 68.2Nm at 6,250rpm.
As usual, the brand-new motorcycle also comes in two variants, TRK 702 (standard) and TRK 702 X which feature the use of spoke rims and different tire sizes.
The standard version comes with 17-inch rims matched with 120/70 front and 160/70 rear tires while the ‘X’ version is equipped with 19″ front and 17″ rear tires in addition to being equipped with ‘dual-purpose’ tires.
The bike will also feature dual-channel ABS, a digital LCD meter display, grip and seats with heating function.
Interestingly, Benelli also equipped the TRK 702 with an HD camera placed at the bottom of the headlight. The camera acts like a ‘dashcam’ which aims to record the journey while riding.
