Yamaha Motor Malaysia’s latest Facebook launch teaser post suggests the arrival of the all-new 2021 Yamaha Y15ZR V3 next week. Here are the details!

Update:

2021 Yamaha Y16ZR officially launched in Malaysia – RM10,888

A week ago, Yamaha Motor Malaysia put up a teaser post for an incoming model. We speculated the bike to be either the next-gen Yamaha Y15ZR V3 or the Yamaha NVX V2 because they were recently spotted testing in Malaysia. Following a lot of speculations and rumours, the good news is finally here folks!  HLYM has just put up another Facebook teaser post for the upcoming model and it looks like it’s the next generation 2021 Yamaha Y15ZR V3 that’s up for official debut. The official launch is set to take place next week on the 18th of March 2021 at 7 pm (Next Thursday).

So, how do we know it’s the next-gen Yamaha Y15ZR that’s rolling out next week?

The teaser post featuring Malaysian celebrity, Mohammad Razizan Abdul Razak mentions that the model that’s up for launch is a 155cc machine with Yamaha’s VVA technology. Well, the models that are slated for Malaysia with a 155cc VVA engine are the next-gen Yamaha Y15ZR V3 and the Yamaha NVX V2. However, if you take a look at Mohammad Razizan Abdul Razak, you clearly see him sporting “Y Series” attire. This “sort of” hints it’s the next generation Yamaha Y15ZR (V3) that’s coming out next week. For now, we can’t confirm what the model would be called. In case you want to know the specifications of the upcoming model, you can check out one of our Y15ZR V3 dedicated article in which we put up a list of speculated specifications.

On the other hand, we noticed Mohammad Razizan Abdul Razak wearing a cap with the wording “Bluecore” which hints at the Yamaha NVX V2 as well. What if HLYM is planning on launching both the models together?  Well, we would only know for sure what HLYM has in store for us next week! Just remember, whatever it is, it’s surely something exciting. So folks, don’t forget to follow up with Yamaha Motor Malaysia’s Facebook page next Thursday!
