The Naza Group of Companies has stepped forward to donate RM1.25 million to the Malaysian government’s COVID-19 fund.
Naza Group is currently the sole importer and distributor for Ducati in Malaysia. Furthermore, Naza Malaysia also manufactures scooters and bikes under the Naza brand at its motorcycle manufacturing plant in Shah Alam, Selangor.
Aside from motorcycles, the group has also evolved into a major importer and distributor of global automotive brands such as; Ferrari, Maserati, Brabus, Peugeot, Kia, Chevrolet and Citroen. Aside from these brands, the Naza Group owns dealerships for Mercedes-Benz and Perodua. Besides importation and distribution, the Naza Group manufactures Kia and Peugeot vehicles at its Gurun plant in Kedah. The vehicles produced at this plant are for both the Malaysian and overseas markets.
The COVID-19 outbreak in Malaysia is getting worse day by day. In an effort to tackle the outbreak, the Naza Group of Companies has stepped forward to donate RM1.25 million to the government’s COVID-19 fund.
Group Executive Chairman &; CEO, Naza Corporation Holdings; SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin handed in the donation to the Prime Minister YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. It took place this afternoon at the Prime Minister’s Office.
SM Nasarudin on commending the government initiatives said, “We hope the contribution by Naza Group will help alleviate the plight of those financially impacted by job disruptions and loss of earnings resulting from this global pandemic. We are all thankful for the selfless commitment shown by our medical practitioners, the police and armed forces and other frontliners in helping to manage this situation and keep us safe.”
“Apart from this monetary contribution, Naza Group will actively look at ways we can leverage through our businesses to assist the Ministry of Health in managing this unprecedented crisis. As Malaysians we must come together during this critical period to overcome the adversities that lie ahead,” added SM Nasarudin.
