Top brands Energica and Dell’Orto have teamed up to produce a new power unit for small and medium-sized electric vehicles.

In case you have not heard of the news, Dell’Orto and electric motorcycle brand Energica have partnered up to develop and produce a new power unit for electric vehicles. Dell’Orto is well-known for its involvement in internal combustion engines. This time the firm will be branching out in the electric vehicle sector. According to the firms, the two will develop the power unit for small-size and medium-size electric motorcycles.

The project has aims to improve electric motorisation within the two-wheeler sector. This is possible with the knowledge of Energica and Dell’Orto’s design skills in injection systems.
“Thanks to the know-how acquired and recognized internationally, Energica aims to start the development of this motorization. This is by expanding our offer with a large volumes segment with high potential growth in the world. Energica Motor Company is one of the top companies that produce high-performing electric motorcycles. Not to mention, it is also the single manufacturer of the FIM Enel MotoE World. With this agreement, Energica would be able to focus on expanding within the small and medium-size EV sector. This is expected to grow significantly in the next few years.
