Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing Team has just announced that the team and Dean Ferris have come to a mutual agreement to part ways for the remainder of the season. Due to the return of Aaron Plessinger, the two will be ending their contracts.
The team will continue the rest of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship with riders Justin Barcia and Plessinger. The two have expressed their appreciation towards Ferris for his outstanding performances within the team.
Round seven of the championship will be held at the RedBud National in Buchanan, Michigan on July 6.
Jim Perry (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing Team Manager)
“It was a pleasure to have Dean Ferris filling in for the opening rounds of the 2019 Lucas Oil Motocross Championship while Aaron was recovering from injury. Now that Aaron has returned to his #7 YZ450F, the Aussie national champ has decided to return home down under. The Monster Energy Factory Yamaha team appreciated his strong work ethic and commitment while in the states. We wish him all the best in the future,” says Perry as quoted from Yamaha Racing.
