Leon Camier suffered an injury in his shoulder at Imola. Now he needs more time to recover and will miss the Moriwaki Althea Honda test at Misano.
Following a blameless collision with another rider during the Superpole qualifying session at the Italian World Superbike round in Imola, which left Leon Camier with damage to his left shoulder ligaments and unfit to race that weekend, Leon Camier will also miss the two-day test set to take place at Misano.
The injury is expected to heal by itself with the Brit needing more recovery time. No surgery is currently advisable, but the situation will be re-assessed as and when necessary.
For the Misano test, the Moriwaki Althea Honda team will field British Superbike Honda Racing’s Xavi Forés and All Japan Road Race JSB1000 Championship rider Yuki Takahashi alongside Moriwaki Althea Honda’s Ryuichi Kiyonari.
The Moriwaki Althea Honda team will be testing in Misano over the next two days. Honda is hoping to find a way to improve de CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2.
