The world of motorcycles and the world of high-end jewelry, in this case, watches, has always been connected, sharing components and ideas, or even technologies. So it makes perfect sense that Norton Motorcycles, the manufacturer of some of the most premium bespoke motorcycles in the world, joined forces with Swiss watchmaker Breitling.
The two brands unveiled the special Norton Breitling Limited Edition at the recent “Baselworld”, an important watch fair held in Basel, Switzerland.
This limited edition is created by giving a standard Norton Commando Sport 961 a host of aesthetic new features like the handmade and handstitched seat, with the Breitling logo embroidery as well as the same logo used on other parts of the Norton Breitling Limited Edition.
This limited edition is only a design makeover, so all the mechanic components are the same as a standard Commando Sport 691. This means the twin-cylinder 961 cc engine still delivers 72 hp with fuel injection, with air cooling for that retro touch.
Norton hasn’t said anything about the price of this Breitling edition, but considering Norton will only build 77 units for the whole world, that probably means that the Norton Breitling Limited Edition will be very expensive. If that doesn’t stop you from dreaming, please contact any Norton dealership, because orders are already open!
