The KTM 790 Adventure and Adventure R has certainly garnered much attention since the news first hit the motorcycle world and there is definitely a good reason to be hyped about these bikes. The two top notch middle-weight adventure motorcycles are lightweight, capping a weight of 416 pounds. They feature a 799cc parallel-twin engine from the 790 Duke and is capable of churning 95 horsepower. With a 5.2-gallon fuel tank, the bike is set to get you anywhere without a problem. KTM noted that the standard 790 Adventure features a 43mm Apex WP suspension and offers riders 7.9-inches of suspension travel at both front and rear. The Adventure R comes with 48mm Apex WP suspension components that travel to 9.4 inches alongside beefed up fairings, better tires and a smaller windscreen to improve off-road visibility. Both models are equipped with the brand’s standard suite of electronics, which has four riding modes and ABS and selectable traction control settings. Price tags of the bikes are yet to be known but speculations state that the standard KTM 790 Adventure will be priced at $12,499 and the Adventure R is likely to cost $1,000 more.
