BMW Motorrad India has just confirmed that the all-new 2019 S 1000 RR will be making its way to India. Through its social media channels, the firm has garnered much attention with its news and bike enthusiasts are excited for the launch of this bike. Unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show last year, the super bike would be replacing the current S 1000 RR by mid-2019 and could cost Rs 2.5 lakh more, which means the bike will be carrying a price tag of Rs 20.5 lakh.
The 2019 S 1000 RR gets an impressive upgrade, making it seem as if it was new. Apart from the new bodywork, the bike’s front indicators have been relocated to the mirrors while the tail lamp has been integrated into the rear turn indicators. It also comes with LED headlamps and a new 6.5-inch colour TFT instrument console that gets Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. It is powered by a 999cc motor that is capable of delivering 210 PS at 13,500rpm and a peak torque of 10,500rpm with the ShiftCam tech. It comes with four riding modes, namely Rain, Road, Dynamic and Race. There is also an optional Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) that essentially adds electronic damping to the fully-adjustable suspension package.
