Austrian manufacturer KTM has racing in its blood, and their motto is a testament of that: Ready to Race! Although the brand led by Stefan Pierer is famous for their off-road feats, from Motocross, Enduro or even Rally like the Dakar, their most recent project in MotoGP is turning some heads and the KTM RC16 prototype has stepped up to a MotoGP podium for the first time ever on the last race of the season in Valencia.
The MotoGP project has been put together by KTM to prove that the orange brand can compete with other teams at the most important level, MotoGP, and in just two years times they’ve done what many thought was impossible.
Now, with the development of the 2019 version of the RC16 bike already underway, KTM is allowing the common riders – also very wealthy riders! – to enter the MotoGP world.
According to a press release sent today by KTM, the factory is selling two RC16 MotoGP prototypes. If you’re interested in one, the price is 250.000 euros (RM1.184.917,00 at current exchange rate) and you need to contact KTM through this e-mail rc16@ktm.com to let them know you’re interesting in adding one of the two RC16’s to your garage.
If this once in a lifetime deal isn’t enough to get you interested, than KTM also adds some special goodies to the deal: a full set of Pol Espargaro’s race gear, a signed Pol Espargaro helmet and the chance to become a member of the Red Bull KTM Factory Team for the weekend with a paddock tour, pitbox tour, a meet and greet with Pol and Johann Zarco, a set of Red Bull KTM team wear and Red Bull Energy Station access all weekend at a Grand Prix of your choice.
You need to remember that the RC16 it’s just for racetrack use and won’t be able to be ridden on a public road, but this is a chance to own a very special MotoGP prototype.
