We’re just two and a half months away from the official reveal of the much awaited Scrambler 1200, and that wait will seem even longer the next few weeks, and all because Triumph has teased the new model in a brand new video.
The bike, which arrives in Triumph dealerships as a 2019 model, will take the rider to a whole new kind of adventure taking advantage of “an unprecedented level of cross-over capabilities”, according to the British manufacturer.
The Scambler 1200 should mount the same twin-cylinder engine as seen on the Bonneville and Thruxton models, capable of 97 hp in its most sportier version of the Thurxton. The torque of 112 Nm should also be a great way for riders to enjoy the Scrambler 1200 off-road.
As expected, Triumph will apply to this new bike all the electronic gadgets we’re getting used to see on other models, like ride-by-wire throttle, riding modes, traction control and ABS with specific parameters for off-road riding, as well as equipping the Scrambler 1200 with specific chassis components like long travel suspensions, not to mention a host of protection parts like engine protection, depending on the version the client chooses.
Watch the first official video teasing the new Scrambler 1200 and don’t forget to pay attention to iMotorbike, because we’re going to give you all the details on this new bike as soon as Triumph releases the information
