If you are an Harley-Davidson fan, you probably know that the American brand has a vast collection of accessories and parts that you can choose to customize your ride when it comes out of the factory. But sometimes it’s hard to chose what you want to install on your new Forty-Eight, Fat Bob or Iron 1200, simply because you won’t know how the bike will look like.
But in Milwaukee, someone thought about this, and Harley-Davidson now allows anyone to build or customize their dream bike – Street, Sportster, Softail, Touring or Trike – and see how every choice changes the looks on the chosen bike.
The Build Your Own option is available on the Shopping Tools list on the Harley-Davidson official website, and the system is really simple to use: you just need to chose the bike you want, and then you’ll have access to all the optional accessories and parts available from the parts catalog to that specific Harley model.
The Build Your Own system shows in real time how your choices affect the look of the bike, you can even see the bike from different angles, check the full list of mods you’ve done, print the end result, and when you’re happy with the choices you’ve done, you can save your customized ride for future reference or your can show it to a dealership and buy your dream bike just the way you want her to be.
