KTM Malaysia has introduced three variants of its flagship adventure motorcycle, the 2026 KTM 1390 Super Adventure S, Super Adventure R and Super Adventure S Evo, alongside the recent launch of the KTM 990 RC R in Kuala Lumpur.
All three models are brought into Malaysia by Eurotech Group (ETG), the official importer and distributor of KTM in the country. Prices start at RM144,000 for the Super Adventure S, followed by RM146,500 for the Super Adventure R and RM153,000 for the Super Adventure S Evo. All prices include a four-year unlimited-mileage warranty but exclude road tax, insurance and registration.
The three variants share a 1,350cc, liquid-cooled, 75-degree V-twin engine equipped with KTM’s Camshift technology, which varies valve timing and lift according to engine speed. The Super Adventure S and S Evo produce 173PS and 145Nm of torque, while the Super Adventure R is listed with 175PS and 145Nm.
Transmission options distinguish the lineup. The Super Adventure S and R use a conventional six-speed manual gearbox, while the S Evo features an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). The system automatically manages clutch operation when starting, stopping and changing gears, with riders able to choose between automatic operation and manual gear selection.

The KTM 1390 Super Adventure S is designed primarily for long-distance road riding, while retaining the ability to handle occasional off-road routes. It features WP Semi-Active Technology (SAT) suspension, which adjusts its response according to riding conditions. The model also receives an updated windshield with an additional 15mm of adjustment and LED headlights incorporating cornering lights to improve visibility through bends.
For riders seeking greater off-road capability, the Super Adventure R comes with WP XPLOR suspension offering 240mm of travel at both ends, compared with 220mm on the S variant. It also features 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless spoked wheels, paired with off-road-oriented tyres. A one-piece seat and lower windshield further distinguish the R, giving riders greater freedom of movement when navigating uneven terrain.
Meanwhile, the Super Adventure S Evo combines the road-focused equipment of the S with the convenience of AMT and additional rider assistance technology. It comes with WP SAT semi-active suspension and Bosch fifth-generation front radar, which enables Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) as standard.
All three variants are equipped with twin 320mm front brake discs and four-piston radial-mounted Brembo callipers, alongside a 267mm rear disc with a two-piston calliper. Wheel configurations differ according to their intended use, with the S and S Evo using 19-inch front and 17-inch rear aluminium rims, while the R gets a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear setup.
The Super Adventure S and S Evo have adjustable seat heights ranging from 847mm to 867mm, a 23-litre fuel tank and a kerb weight of approximately 227kg. The more off-road-focused R has a seat height of 880mm, retains the same 23-litre fuel capacity and weighs around 231kg.
Technology is shared across the range, with all three models featuring an 8.8-inch portrait-oriented colour TFT touchscreen. The display provides access to motorcycle information, electronic settings and offline map navigation.

KTM has also extended the valve clearance inspection interval to 60,000km, doubling the previous 30,000km interval and reducing the frequency of this particular maintenance requirement.
Customers can contact authorised KTM dealerships nationwide for more information about the new models and the KTM 990 RC R. According to KTM Malaysia, its authorised dealers have received specialised training and international certification from KTM Austria, with service handled by certified technicians.
