Hakim Danish Aims for Better Results at Austrian GP

The young national rider wants to continue the positive momentum after a convincing performance in Misano with the goal of starting better at the Red Bull Ring and returning to challenge the front group in Moto3.

National Moto3 rider, Hakim Danish Ramli, is determined to continue improving his performance when the Moto3 World Championship continues at the Austrian Grand Prix (GP) this weekend at the Red Bull Ring Circuit.

After showing an impressive comeback at the San Marino GP, the 19-year-old rider is now aiming to achieve even better results by avoiding the mistakes that affected his starting position in the last race.

At Misano, Hakim Danish was given a grid penalty which saw him start the race from 25th place. Despite the challenge, the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider managed to overtake 13 riders before finishing the race in 12th place, proving he has the speed to compete with the front group.

The performance provided a boost of confidence ahead of the action at the Red Bull Ring, a circuit known for its long straights and combination of technical corners that often produce intense racing in the Moto3 class.

To meet the challenge, Hakim Danish and his team will focus on tuning the machine since the first free practice session. The main goal is to get a competitive pace as early as possible, thus automatically qualifying for Qualifying 2 (Q2) and securing a better grid position.

The early preparation is seen as important as the remaining eight rounds of the season will be decisive in the fight for the overall world championship position. With a more competitive starting position, the chances of collecting more points and challenging for the podium are also brighter.

Hakim Danish said that his experience competing at the Red Bull Ring gave him a slight advantage because he understood the character of the circuit, but admitted that the challenges in the Moto3 World Championship were much different compared to the races he had competed in before.

According to him, the confidence gained after the race in Misano and the improved compatibility with the machinery are the main factors he wants to bring to Austria.

“After the race in Misano, I feel more confident and my feeling with the bike is improving. I want to carry that momentum into Austria and try to have a stronger preparation from Free Practice onwards.”

He also stressed that his main focus is to maintain consistency throughout the race weekend, reduce mistakes that can affect grid position and collect as many points as possible to improve his position in the world championship chart.

Meanwhile, SIC Racing Team Manager, Zulfahmi Khairuddin, hopes that Hakim Danish can continue to build positive momentum by getting a good pace once the first free practice session begins.

According to him, the ability to get a feel with the machine early will be an important factor in ensuring the country’s young riders are in a competitive group throughout the weekend.

“Most importantly, Danish needs to stay focused, minimise mistakes and make the most of every opportunity. We believe he has the potential to compete closer to the front group, and our target is to bring home as many points as possible from Austria.”

With increasingly consistent performance and growing confidence, the Austrian GP is the best opportunity for Hakim Danish to continue his progress in this season’s Moto3 campaign and once again prove his ability to compete with the world’s best riders.
