Brembo has signed a new multi-year agreement with Superbike World Championship, becoming the Championship’s Official Innovation Partner starting from the 2026 season.

The collaboration reinforces the deep technical connection between high-performance braking systems and production-based racing, a defining characteristic of WorldSBK.

WorldSBK machines begin life as road-going motorcycles before being transformed into elite racing contenders. In this environment, braking plays one of the most decisive roles in performance, influencing lap times, overtaking manoeuvres and race consistency.

This makes WorldSBK a uniquely relevant development platform for manufacturers like Brembo, whose motorsport DNA has been central to its global reputation as a leader in high-performance braking systems.

Under the new agreement, Brembo’s presence will be visible across WorldSBK events beginning in 2026, including fan-focused technical activations that align with the Championship’s “Pure Motorsport” positioning.

For Brembo, WorldSBK offers an ideal laboratory where cutting-edge technology can be tested under extreme racing conditions before filtering down to production motorcycles.

Mauro Piccoli, Brembo Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted the shared philosophy between the two organisations: “Racing has always been part of Brembo’s identity. Partnering with WorldSBK means strengthening a shared passion for speed, control and excellence. Here, every braking gesture matters and every detail helps shape tomorrow’s technologies. We are excited to work alongside WorldSBK to continue inspiring riders and enthusiasts through delivering innovative, best-in-class solutions.”

For WorldSBK, the partnership further cements its status as the championship where race technology remains closely connected to everyday riders.

Gregorio Lavilla, WorldSBK Executive Director, added: “WorldSBK represents the closest link between racing and the road. By welcoming Brembo as Innovation Partner, we reinforce the technical relevance of the Championship and underline how developments born in competition continue to shape the future of production motorcycles.”

With this new agreement, both Brembo and WorldSBK aim to accelerate innovation while maintaining the championship’s core identity — authentic, production-based racing where what happens on track directly influences the motorcycles ridden on the street.
