Australian electric motorcycle brand Savic Motorcycles has entered a new phase of its journey with the appointment of seasoned technology executive Marc Alexander as Chief Executive Officer. The leadership change signals a clear intent to accelerate growth in 2026 as the company moves beyond limited production and prepares for wider international reach.
Alexander brings more than two decades of experience across enterprise technology, electric vehicle systems, autonomous platforms, IoT, and consumer and automotive sectors. His track record in scaling technology-driven businesses is expected to play a key role as Savic transitions from a boutique manufacturer into a globally recognised electric motorcycle brand.

The appointment follows the completion of a $2 million strategic funding round, which has strengthened Savic’s financial position and enabled investment into manufacturing capacity and operational systems. Alexander has already been working closely with the company in recent months, helping streamline operations and prepare the business for its next stage of expansion before formally assuming the CEO role.
Savic founder Dennis Savic will continue to play an active role, remaining on the board and working alongside the leadership team on long-term strategy and product direction. He described the timing as pivotal, noting that fresh capital, expanding infrastructure, and rising global demand for electric motorcycles made it the right moment to bring in experienced executive leadership.
The leadership transition comes as interest in electric motorcycles gathers momentum worldwide. With the global market forecast to grow rapidly over the coming years, Savic is positioning itself to capitalise on that demand through its flagship C-Series, which has already attracted positive attention following Australian test rides.

Manufacturing of the C-Series will continue at Savic’s West Melbourne headquarters, reinforcing the company’s commitment to Australian-based production. At the same time, Savic is laying the groundwork for scale through the launch of its own EV powertrain subassembly facility in Taizhou, China, scheduled to begin operations in December 2025. The new facility is expected to enhance production capacity, improve supply chain efficiency, and support expansion into markets such as Europe.
Alexander has described the role as an opportunity to build on strong foundations while keeping Savic’s engineering-led identity intact. His focus will be on expanding global awareness of the C-Series and positioning Australia as a serious player in the electric mobility space.
With its leadership team in place, fresh investment secured, and a clear manufacturing roadmap, Savic Motorcycles now faces its most important test yet: scaling onto the global stage while preserving the design-driven ethos that set it apart from the start.
