Shell App Now Integrates Budi95

Shell App Now Integrates Budi95

Users can verify eligibility via TNG eWallet e-KYC and enjoy RM1.99/litre Budi95 pricing directly in the Shell App, though payments still require a linked credit or debit card.

Shell has officially integrated the Budi Madani RON 95 (Budi95) subsidy programme into the Shell App, offering motorists a smoother and more convenient way to access subsidised RON 95 petrol at RM1.99 per litre.

To activate Budi95 within the Shell App, users simply need to complete a one-time Touch ‘n Go (TnG) eWallet e-KYC verification. Once verified, they can tap the dedicated Budi95 button to purchase fuel at the subsidised rate, without needing to present their MyKad or physically use their payment cards at the station.

However, Shell clarified that this integration does not mean users can pay for fuel using TnG eWallet within the app. The TnG link serves only as an identity verification mechanism for Budi95 eligibility. At present, fuel payments through the Shell App still require a credit or debit card.

For those who prefer eWallet payments, Shell says that option is in development. For now, customers must use the TnG eWallet app directly at participating stations.

Shell Mobility and Convenience Malaysia GM Seow Lee Ming said the update aligns with Shell’s goal of enhancing user convenience: “We believe the enhanced Shell App with Budi95 will help Malaysians who are looking for ways to maximise every ringgit. At Shell, our goal is to make their fuelling journey simpler and more rewarding.”

She added that the redesigned app centralises everything Malaysian users need: “From secure payments and personalised offers to quick access to Budi95. We aim to make the fuelling experience not only simpler but genuinely more worthwhile.”

Shell also advises users to add a credit or debit card to the app before starting the Budi95 binding process for a smoother setup. Currently, the app supports Credit cards, Debit cards and Shell Card (but only for business customers).
