A year after the concept model first broke cover, BMW Motorrad has officially unveiled the F450 GS at the ongoing EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. The all-new lightweight adventure bike arrives in four model variants; Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and Trophy, each designed to offer a unique blend of performance and versatility both on and off the road.
According to BMW Motorrad, the F450 GS was developed from the ground up with a focus on agility, low weight, and balanced handling, offering the perfect balance between adventure capability and everyday practicality.

Easy Ride Clutch: Smarter Off-Road Control
A standout feature is the introduction of the BMW Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), a centrifugal clutch system that eliminates the need for manual clutch operation in most riding situations. The ERC automatically engages and disengages based on engine speed, making gear changes and low-speed off-road manoeuvres smoother and easier.
The system is standard on the Trophy variant and optional on other trims. Riders can still manually use the clutch lever when needed, such as when lifting the front wheel or navigating slippery terrain.
Powering the new F450 GS is a 420 cc parallel-twin engine producing 48 hp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. The engine uses a 135-degree crankpin offset and a single balance shaft for smoother power delivery and reduced vibration.
The bike comes equipped with three standard riding modes; Rain, Road, and Enduro, while Enduro Pro mode is exclusive to the Exclusive and Trophy variants. A comprehensive electronic suite includes ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), and engine drag torque control (MSR).

Chassis, Suspension & Ergonomics
The suspension setup features a KYB 43 mm upside-down fork with full adjustability for rebound and compression, paired with a KYB rear monoshock adjustable for preload and rebound. Both ends offer 180 mm of travel.
Braking duties are handled by Brembo, with a 310 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, both paired with BMW’s ABS Pro as standard.
The F450 GS rolls on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels (with optional wire-spoked wheels), shod in 100/90 front and 130/80 rear tyres. Seat height is 845 mm, with optional low (830 mm) and rally (865 mm) seats available, along with adjustable levers and 20 mm handlebar risers.

Technology and Features
Riders get a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display, a USB-C charging port, and an LED headlight featuring BMW’s signature “X” daytime running light.
“With the BMW F 450 GS, we’re addressing riders who seek maximum agility, versatility, and pure riding pleasure without compromise,” said Astrid Neudecker, Product Manager for the model. “This motorcycle reflects the trend toward downsizing offering dynamic handling and high-quality equipment in a lighter, more accessible package.”
With the F450 GS, BMW Motorrad is clearly expanding its reach into the lightweight adventure segment, offering a compact yet capable machine that carries the GS badge into a new era of performance and practicality.
