Shell Malaysia has introduced its new flagship motorcycle lubricant, the Shell Advance Ultra 10W-50 (API SP). The launch took place at the 2025 MotoGP Malaysia in Sepang. It also marked 26 years of Shell’s partnership with Ducati Corse, a collaboration built on innovation and performance. The Shell Advance Ultra 10W-50 uses Shell PurePlus Technology, which turns natural gas into a clean, crystal-clear base oil. The result is a lubricant with 99.5% purity. It delivers better power, smoother rides, and longer engine life. It also meets the latest API SP standards, helping riders enjoy top performance and confidence on the road.

“Shell Advance, Malaysia’s No. 1 motorcycle oil brand, brings world-class technology from MotoGP to Malaysian riders,” said Darlina Mohd Sibi, Cluster General Manager, Shell Lubricants MY/SG and Southeast Asia. “Our Shell Advance Ultra is co-developed with Ducati and tested under extreme racing conditions. It gives outstanding power, protection, and performance both on the track and on the road. We thank our riders and mechanics for their passion and trust.”

A recent blind test compared Shell Advance Ultra to an ester-based lubricant. Riders clearly preferred Shell Advance. They noticed quicker acceleration, smoother gear changes, and quieter engines. These results prove that Shell Advance delivers the reliable performance riders expect. Shell Advance is also the only motorcycle oil recommended by Ducati Corse. This partnership helped Ducati secure a historic treble in 2025, winning the MotoGP Teams’, Constructors’, and Riders’ Championships with Marc Márquez. The Shell Advance Ultra 10W-50 keeps engines clean for up to 20,000 km, retains horsepower, and improves fuel efficiency by up to 5 km per litre.

“We’re proud to work with Shell Advance and bring Ducati Corse’s winning performance to riders everywhere,” said Mauro Grassilli, Ducati Corse Sporting Director. “For more than twenty years, Ducati has trusted Shell Advance in MotoGP. Together, we continue to set the benchmark for racing performance.”

The launch also kicked off the #CrazyGoodOil campaign, featuring Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia. The campaign will run across Malaysia with various trade and consumer events, giving fans the chance to experience Shell Advance technology first-hand. The Shell Advance range also includes Advance Power 15W-50, Advance Long Ride 10W-40, and the AX7 semi-synthetic series (10W-40, 15W-50). Each product is designed to match different riding needs while ensuring high protection and reliability. More than 140 mechanics from the Global Master Mechanic Program joined the event. This global program celebrates the best mechanics in the world. It shows how Shell continues to invest in training, innovation, and technical excellence.
