Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced its entry into the United Kingdom market through a new partnership with MotoGB, a Lancashire-based motorcycle distributor. This milestone brings Hero’s global footprint to 51 countries, reinforcing its growing presence across Europe.
Strengthening Global Reach
The UK expansion follows Hero’s recent entry into Italy and Spain. Thus, marking another key step in the company’s strategic push into advanced markets. Over the past few years, Hero MotoCorp has steadily partnered with established distributors across Europe. This is to offset slowing domestic demand caused by rising costs and production challenges.
Launching with the Euro 5+ Compliant Hunk 440
Hero’s debut in the UK will be led by the Hunk 440, a muscular, Euro 5+ compliant motorcycle tailored for the European market. It comes with a price tag of €3,990 (approximately RM23,500). The Hunk 440 blends performance, reliability, and affordability, aligning with Hero’s brand philosophy of “accessible excellence.”
Initially, the motorcycle will be available through 25 official sales and service outlets across the UK. Though the brand has plans to expand to over 35 locations by 2026.
A New Chapter in Hero’s Global Growth
The partnership with MotoGB, one of the UK’s most established multi-brand distributors, is expected to give Hero a strong foundation in one of Europe’s most competitive two-wheeler markets.
By entering the UK, Hero joins a growing list of Indian motorcycle manufacturers establishing a footprint in Europe. This signals confidence in the continent’s appetite for reliable, mid-capacity motorcycles.
