Following the tremendous success of the SoloEra Solo 1C, Blueshark Malaysia has officially launched the SoloEra Solo 2, the second model under its high-value sub-brand, SoloEra, designed to bring accessible electric mobility to everyday Malaysians.

To celebrate the milestone, the first 50 customers can pre-order the SoloEra Solo 2 at an early-bird promotional price of only RM5,599, inclusive of a free Blueshark helmet. After the promotion, the retail price will revert to RM6,399 (excluding the MARiiCas RM2,400 rebate, which remains on hiatus).

Battery-as-a-Service: Affordable Ownership, Unlimited Warranty

In keeping with Blueshark’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, the Solo 2 requires a five-year dual battery rental plan at only RM99/month, plus an optional RM10/month connectivity pack for smart features. The plan includes unlimited warranty coverage during the rental period, ensuring peace of mind for riders.

Blueshark will fulfil pre-orders within two months, depending on location and stock availability, and will apply additional delivery fees for East Malaysia.

Electrifying Value for Everyday Riders

Blueshark developed SoloEra to make high-quality, sustainable electromobility accessible to all Malaysians. Built on Blueshark’s proven platform and leveraging its advanced swappable LFP battery technology, the Solo 2 combines performance, practicality, and affordability in a sleek package ideal for both daily commuting and gig work.

Jeff Chong, CEO of Blueshark Malaysia, commented:

“The introduction of the Solo 2 further accelerates SoloEra’s popularity and presence as a Blueshark brand. With the overwhelming response to the Solo 1C and our CKD operations now in full swing, we’re focused on delivering outstanding value, performance, and reliability for Malaysian riders.”

He added that Blueshark expects the waiting period for Solo 2 orders to be under two months, compared to six months for the Solo 1C, underscoring the company’s commitment to quality and timely delivery.

Performance and Sustainability

Equipped with dual second-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries delivering a combined 4,000W output, the Solo 2 achieves:

  • Top speed: 95 km/h
  • Range (NEDC): Up to 140 km
  • Acceleration (0–50 km/h): Under 7.2 seconds

Each unit can potentially reduce up to 3,500 kg of CO₂ emissions per year, representing a 90% lower carbon footprint than conventional 150cc motorcycles. The LFP batteries boast a thermal failure point of 800°C and 2,000+ full recharge cycles, making them four times more durable and safer than typical lithium-ion or lead-acid batteries.

Smart Features and Riding Comfort

The Solo 2 offers advanced features and a thoughtfully designed setup tailored for modern riders:

  • 7-inch LED screen with smart telematics
  • Bluetooth smart key and anti-theft alarm system
  • “Find My Vehicle” function via the companion app
  • Four riding modes, including a Motor Assist Mode
  • Dual hydraulic disc brakes with CBS for confident stopping power
  • Seat height: 760 mm | Ground clearance: 160 mm
  • Payload: Up to 270 kg
  • Weight: 132 kg (with dual batteries)

Telescopic front forks and dual-ring rear shock absorbers handle suspension, while 100/80/16 (front) and 110/80/14 (rear) tyres provide balanced handling and stability.

The motorcycle is also gig-work ready, with a removable pillion seat and integrated cargo rails, ideal for delivery riders or small business use.

Design and Availability

The SoloEra Solo 2 will be available in three striking colours: Stardust Blue, Eclipse Gold, and Orion Grey. EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB) will locally assemble it at its Glenmarie plant alongside the Solo 1C.

Bookings and test rides are now open at the Blueshark Showroom and 3S Centre, Glenmarie.
