Álex Márquez Secures Factory Ducati Bike for 2026 Season with Gresini Racing

The younger Márquez continued with Gresini Racing colours while stepping up to a Ducati Desmosedici GP Factory machine.

With 16 races completed and 21 podium finishes collected in the 2025 MotoGP season, Álex Márquez has proven himself as one of the most consistent riders on the grid. While his brother Marc Márquez has nearly sealed the championship, Álex remains mathematically the only other contender and he’s already setting sights on the future.

Today, Gresini Racing and Ducati confirmed that Álex Márquez will ride a full factory-spec Ducati Desmosedici GP starting in 2026, while continuing to represent BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP. The move marks a significant milestone in Álex’s career and for the independent team’s continued rise.

The team has been working impeccably for a few seasons now, and I believe this is a reward for everyone, for myself and the whole team. This is another step forward towards our dreams and doing even better in 2026. I’d like to thank Nadia, the team, and of course Gigi and Ducati, who have made me feel important at every moment.”
