After a promising debut half-season, Izan Guevara and Tony Arbolino return from the summer break aiming for podium contention at the Red Bull Ring.

The Moto2 World Championship roars back to life this weekend with Round 13 at Austria’s Red Bull Ring, and the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 team is gearing up for a renewed push in the second half of its debut season.
Following a three-week summer break, riders Izan Guevara and Tony Arbolino arrive in Styria refreshed and determined to convert the progress made in recent rounds into standout results. Team Manager Alex De Angelis has his sights set on building momentum after a challenging yet promising opening half of the season that saw flashes of competitive pace from both riders.
The Red Bull Ring has been a happy hunting ground for Arbolino, who claimed two second-place finishes in Moto3 (2019 and 2020) and consistent top-six results in Moto2, including fifth place last year. Guevara, meanwhile, enjoyed his best Austrian result with seventh place in Moto3 in 2022, and recent form has shown steady improvement, often seeing him battle within the lead group.

“I feel in incredible shape and ready to take on the Austria–Hungary doubleheader,” Guevara said. “We ended the first part of the season with a good race in the Czech Republic, and I want to start from there again. I’m convinced we can have a good weekend and chase that podium that has always slipped away from me here.”
Arbolino is equally motivated: “We have some key months ahead, and the goal is to approach them with steady progress. Austria is a track I’ve always liked, and I’m confident we can do well. If we all give our best, we’ll have everything we need to be contenders.”
With 12 rounds completed, Guevara currently sits 15th in the riders’ standings with 55 points, while Arbolino holds 17th with 34 points. The team is 10th in the Team Championship with 89 points, and will be looking to climb higher as the championship resumes.
The Austrian GP marks the start of an intense run of races where consistency and continued development could see the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 squad become a regular threat for podium positions.
