Aprilia Racing’s double top-four finish at Balaton Park marks another strong weekend for Aprilia RS-GP25 riders.

Aprilia Racing celebrated a landmark day at Balaton Park, with Marco Bezzecchi clinching third place and teammate Jorge Martín storming through the field to finish fourth. It marks Aprilia’s seventh podium of the season, strengthening the Italian manufacturer’s presence among the front-runners in MotoGP 2025.

Bezzecchi once again proved to be a leading figure on Sunday, snatching the lead at the first corner and holding firm at the front for much of the race. Though he eventually had to concede positions in the closing laps, he crossed the line in third, securing his third consecutive podium finish, a personal career milestone since joining the premier class.

Martín also delivered a standout performance. Starting from 16th on the grid, the Spaniard carved his way through the pack with an impressive comeback ride, ultimately taking fourth, his best result yet with Aprilia Racing. The achievement also carries historical weight: only Tetsuya Harada had previously managed a top-four finish within his first four races for Aprilia Racing, back in 1999 at Paul Ricard.

Marco Bezzecchi: “Today’s race was anything but easy. The soft tyre wore more than I expected, but it was the only one that allowed me to stop well under braking. I know I gave my all, so I’m really pleased with this podium.”

Jorge Martín: “Starting 16th wasn’t easy, but I had a clear plan for the first laps. I quickly made up positions and then focused on keeping my rhythm. Finishing fourth is a fantastic result, and I’m happy for the whole team. We’ve taken a huge step forward.”

The strong double result underlines Aprilia Racing’s growing competitiveness in the 2025 season. With Bezzecchi’s consistency and Martín’s steady progress, the RS-GP25 looks increasingly capable of fighting at the sharp end of the championship.
