Suzuki Malaysia proudly announces the return of one of its most iconic motorcycles, the Suzuki SV650. But this isn’t just a reintroduction, it’s a final, celebratory chapter in the story of a true roadster legend. The 2025 Suzuki SV650 embodies the very essence of the Samurai: refined, powerful, and fearless.

The motorcycle was unveiled in conjunction with the AMI-Suzuki Syoknya Raya! 2025 celebration, held last weekend at the MATRADE Exhibition Hall, Kuala Lumpur. More than just a launch event, the occasion brought together passionate Suzuki owners from across the nation for a vibrant Hari Raya gathering, uniting the Suzuki Familia in celebration of legacy and performance.

Now entering its fourth generation since debuting in 1999, the SV650 returns equipped with Suzuki’s Euro 5-compliant 90-degree V-Twin engine. Displacing 645cc, the engine delivers 74.9 hp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 59.9 Nm at 8,000 rpm, remaining faithful to the smooth, linear power delivery that has made it a rider favourite for over two decades.

Suspension duties are handled by 41mm telescopic front forks (non-adjustable) and a rear monoshock with seven-step preload adjustability and 130mm of travel. Stopping power comes from dual 290mm front discs paired with twin Nissin callipers, and a single rear disc, all complemented by dual-channel ABS.

Riding on 17-inch wheels, the SV650 wears 120/70 front and 160/70 rear tyres. The SV650 comes with a wet weight of 197 kg and 14-litre fuel capacity, and 785mm seat height suiting riders of various sizes and skill levels.

Staying true to its roots while embracing the future, the 2025 SV650 blends classic naked-bike styling with modern rider-focused features. These include Suzuki’s Low RPM Assist, which helps maintain idle during take-off and low-speed riding, perfect for new riders. The Suzuki Easy Start System provides effortless, one-touch ignition on the bike.

Available in three striking colour combinations, Pearl Vigor Blue / Metallic Mat Black No.2, Pearl Mat Shadow Green / Metallic Mat Black No.2, and Metallic / Mat Black No.2, the SV650 is priced at RM29,900, excluding road tax, insurance, and registration. The 2025 Suzuki SV650 is now available at all authorised Suzuki Big Bike World and Suzuki Station Plus dealerships nationwide.
