Damon Inc. (NASDAQ: DMN), a developer of cutting-edge electric motorcycles and personal mobility products, announced a major new collaboration with Italian engineering powerhouse Engines Engineering. The goal? To accelerate the development and market launch of the Damon HyperSport Race, a high-performance electric motorcycle that will showcase Damon’s advanced technologies.
Engines Engineering, known for its extensive MotoGP racing experience, will help Damon bring its HyperSport Race bike to life faster and more efficiently. Thus validating its next-gen electric powertrain and AI-enabled safety systems under real-world track conditions.

Capital-Efficient Innovation
Unlike traditional motorcycle development programs that can cost anywhere between $25 million (approx.. RM118.75 million) and $70 million (approx.. RM332.5 million), Damon’s HyperSport Race project is expected to stay under $10 million. By leveraging its modular technology platform and strategic collaborations, Damon is cutting costs while speeding up development — with the first product expected within just 12 months.
“This collaboration provides an optimal platform for rapid validation of our HyperSport technology stack,” said Damon Interim CEO Dom Kwong. “Testing under extreme conditions will generate crucial data to advance our technology development.”
Manfredi Fenici, CEO and Vice President of Engines Engineering, added, “Our racing expertise combined with Damon’s innovative technology creates an efficient platform for pushing electric powertrain performance boundaries.”

HyperSport Race: A Technology Demonstrator
The HyperSport Race will serve as a technology demonstrator. This helps Damon refine its advanced electric powertrain architecture, battery management systems, and AI-powered safety technologies. It’s the first move under Damon’s updated “Damon 2.0” strategic plan, which focuses on four major revenue streams:
- Data Intelligence
- Personal Mobility Products
- Licensing and Engineering Services
- Special Projects
This diversified approach aims to strengthen Damon’s position in the growing global electric two-wheeler market, estimated to reach $40 billion (approx.. RM190 billion) by 2030.
