The 13th Annual Art Of Speed (AOS 2024), held last weekend at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang (MAEPS), wrapped up with roaring success, drawing in an enthusiastic crowd of visitors and fans.
One of the main highlights of AOS has always been its tradition of featuring various international guests and showcasing customized vehicles from overseas. This year was no exception, with the Art of Speed Invitational Bike Build Off 2024 spotlighting 10 talented builders competing for top honours.
Irwann Cheng from FNG Works emerged as the overall jury pick winner and public choice with their impressive RXZ Twin Boss V2. FNG Works received a RM5,000 cash prize and their custom bike will be shipped to Japan for the 32nd Annual MOONEYES Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2024.
The event also hosted the 2nd Official Hot Wheels Collectors Convention Malaysia at Hall C, attracting fans and collectors of the iconic die-cast brand. This year’s convention saw the launch of the first-ever convention-exclusive die-cast model from Mattel for Malaysia, with Hot Wheels Design Manager Dwayne Vance in attendance.
Adding to the event’s excitement, AOS 2024 partnered with Selangor FC (SFC) to support the “Stop The Violence” campaign, merging football and automotive lifestyles. Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari officiated the collaboration and toured the event on Sunday.
Additional activities at AOS 2024 included the Roda Rumble 2024 – Two Wheels Gathering & Outdoor Festival, supported by Retro Mania, and La Cultura – Malaysia’s Chicano Culture Appreciation Gathering. The latter featured a fashion display, dance and DJ shows, and more.
Attendees enjoyed a variety of food from vendors and trucks at the Food Park, an automotive flea market, product launches on stage, and a Test Ride Zone for bikes from brands like Royal Enfield, Vespa, Aprilia, Triumph, Lambretta, and Harley-Davidson.
The SoundCircus Takeover returned as an indoor experience in Hall A, with performances by legendary band Spider, Gerhana Ska Cinta, Salam Musik, Jemson X Forcesparkbois, Slatan, 53 Universe, and more.
Lucky draw giveaways were a major attraction, with Fitri Wahyudi B Suparno winning a paid trip to the 32nd Annual MOONEYES Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2024 on Saturday. On Sunday, Muhammad Farish B Mohd Fadzil drove home the grand prize—a modified Honda Jazz from the AOS X QARTEL TV collaboration.
In the Best of Show Motorcycle category, Pa’Din Musa clinched the AOS Special Award with his Harley-Davidson Shovelhead 1969. Pa’Din, a legendary Malaysian skateboarder who won the Asian X Games twice, will also enjoy a trip to the MOONEYES Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2024 as a Guest of Honour.
As the event concluded, the excitement and energy from Art of Speed Malaysia remained high. With the bar set so high this year, fans are already eagerly anticipating what AOS 2025 will bring. If this year’s event is any indication, it’s sure to be another spectacular chapter in their growing legacy.
