This inspiration led to the transformation of his Ducati 900SS into a stunning custom creation he named ‘Ottolino.’
Dietrich boasts an impressive resume, including designing a watch for Hermes and collaborating with high-end brands.
His artistic journey often involves reimagining his belongings, and his Ducati was no exception. His goal was not to conform but to create something unique and practical for daily riding.
Inspired by the sensuous curves of 50s and 60s automotive design, Dietrich meticulously designed the bodywork, incorporating hidden mounting points.
With 3D printing, he brought his vision to life. The result was a monocoque body with seamless lines. He crafted a custom alloy gas tank for better balance and fuel distribution. A hidden fender ensured compliance with regulations, housing a sleek tail light and number plate holder.
The iconic Ducati Red adorned ‘Ottolino,’ with a black stripe on the tank for balance. The seat was expertly shaped, blending rider and machine. Dietrich also made subtle improvements to the engine and exhaust.
‘Ottolino’ stands as a blend of art and practicality, showcasing the beauty of unconventional design within the constraints of regulation.
Emmanuel Dietrich’s masterpiece on two wheels inspires awe and demonstrates the rewards of thinking outside the box.
