In a bid to continue to compete in the 1000cc and above adventure motorcycle segment, Ducati has improved the Multistrada V4 with the ‘Rally’ variant.

The 2023 model has been upgraded with a larger tank, an improved suspension system and better comfort levels.

However, as the name suggests, the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally was developed with more robust ‘off-road’ capabilities.

Showa’s Skyhook suspension system on the Multistrada V4 Rally has been upgraded with a higher travel distance, 200mm compared to 170mm on the Multistrada V4 S.

Interestingly, the suspension system now offers a ‘self-levelling ability’ feature that will adjust the front fork and rear mono-shock according to the road surface conditions.

The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally also comes with an Enduro mode. When activated, engine power will be reduced to 114hp with ‘traction control intervention’ reduced to a minimum level.

The rear tire ABS will also be deactivated to adapt the machine to ‘off-road’ riding.

However, the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally still offers 170hp at 10,500rpm and 125Nm at 8,750rpm.

The other biggest upgrade also includes the ‘adaptive ride-height’ function. It works by lowering the machine to make it easier for the rider to get on and off when the engine is switched on or off.

The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally has also come with a 30L tank compared to the 22L on the standard and V4 S models. The larger tank allows the Multistrada V4 Rally to achieve a longer riding distance of between 350 to 370km.

We can expect the off-road-biased model to hit Ducati dealerships in May 2023.
