Aprilia SR GT 200 arrives in Malaysia starting from RM19,900

The sole distributor of the Aprilia brand in Malaysia, Didi Group has officially launched its ‘urban adventure’ scooter, the Aprilia SR GT 200 for the local market, six months after the model was unveiled at EICMA, last year.

The European market welcomes two engine capacity models, namely the 125cc and 200cc models. However, Malaysia will only launch the 200cc model. The Aprilia SR GT 200 comes in two variants, Standard and Sport. Both come with a price tag of RM19,900 and RM20,900 respectively.

Despite being a scooter, the Aprilia retains the same design DNA as other high-powered models, especially in the headlights area. The SR GT 100 headlights feature a tri-LED feature with DRL (daytime running light) function. The bike also comes with high windshields with an aggressive overall design.

Not only that, the SR GT 200 is equipped with a wide ‘handlebar’ and ample footrests to ensure the ride remains comfortable for daily use. This 200cc maxi-scooter also comes with a digital LCD display and an automatic engine start/stop system to ensure better fuel economy when stopping.

The Aprilia SR GT 200 is powered by a 174cc single-cylinder i-get engine that delivers 17hp at 8,500rpm and 16.5Nm at 7,000rpm.
