Last year, Indian motorcycle giant Bajaj Auto introduced the updated Dominar UG 400 with a ‘touring’ feature.
The motorcycle, which is labelled as a ‘sport tourer’ machine, has been upgraded with several new features including a high windscreen, handguard, UBS charger slot, engine protector (bash plate) and ‘carrier’ as well as ‘back stopper’.
In the latest development, sources have reported that the new ‘touring’ version of Dominar will be introduced for the Malaysian market soon by local distributor, Modenas. The company is also responsible for rebranding Bajaj motorcycles for the national market.
However, the new model will continue to offer the same specifications as the Dominar D400 UG including a 373.3cc DOHC single-cylinder engine with liquid cooling that offers 40hp at 8,650rpm and 35Nm at 7,000rpm.
With the current demand directed towards ‘touring’ type motorcycles, it turns out that the entry of this new version of Dominar will delight many ‘touring’ enthusiasts who want such a motorcycle at an affordable price.
