In recent years, Qianjiang Motorcycle’s subsidiary, QJMotor has already introduced several new models that are expected to also be brought as Benelli in the global market.

The latest ‘teaser’ sharing from Benelli also confirmed the matter when revealing the Tornado 650 and 550 as well as the TNT 550. According to reports, the illustration of the model came from Benelli himself.

QJMotor and Benelli have already taken steps to share a platform starting with the TRK 800 last year which shared the same engine as the QJMotor SRT 750.

The two models even share the same frame only distinguished by the design aspect of the body panels.

QJMotor also introduced a 600cc four-cylinder engine last year. So the latest sketch by Benelli confirms that the TNT 650 will be powered by the same engine. Based on the images shared, it’s clear the TNT 650 model also features the same frame.

For the record, the 600cc four-cylinder engine by QJMotor is capable of producing 87hp while putting the model more powerful than the Yamaha R7.

Meanwhile, the Tornado 550 and TNT 550 will also be powered by the same engine from the QJMotor 550cc model. Interestingly, the engine is also expected to be the same loan to MV Agusta for the next model, Lucky Explorer 5.5.

This scenario indirectly reveals that the machine will offer around 47hp as previously informed by MV Agusta.

Although the development from Benelli is quite interesting the intended model is still in the form of initial sketches giving the impression that the Tornado 650, 550 and TNT 550 will only be revealed to the public in another year or two.
