Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has finally announced the official price for the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT to be at RM69,498. This news comes after revealing the price of the Yamaha MT-09 2021 last week.
This 2021 model features a larger engine displacement at 890cc with a power increase of up to 4hp.
The new model now offers 117hp as a result of Yamaha increasing the stroke of the CP3 engine to 3mm while seeing an increase in engine displacement of 43cc.

Interestingly, Yamaha managed to produce a lighter engine despite having a larger capacity with a higher power.
Apart from the 890cc engine which is now Euro 5, Yamaha has also updated the Tracer 9 GT chassis with a Deltabox die-cast aluminium frame which is now 2 kilograms lighter than the previous model.
Contributing to the new frame is a redesigned swingarm section that is now 60mm longer than the MT-09 swingarm to offer a more stable ride.

Not only that, but this Tracer 9 GT also comes with a 6-axis IMU control system from R1 as found on the MT-09 2021.
This IMU system regulates traction control, slide control, wheelie control and brake control including ABS (anti-lock braking system).
