The McAMS Yamaha rider took the lead in the race right away ahead of Glenn Irwin of Rich Energy OMG Racing BMW. Third place went to Ryan Vickers of RAF Regular & Reserve Kawasaki and followed by Lee Jackson of FS-3 Racing Kawasaki at fourth place.

Looking for a second win, O’Halloran was 0.451s ahead of Irwin. Vickers and Danny Kent (Buildbase Suzuki) meanwhile had to serve a Long Lap Penalty.

At the front, the Yamaha rider had his actions under control. The fight for second place was one of the main moments of interest at this stage, with several riders in the contest: Irwin, Tarran Mackenzie (McAMS Yamaha), and Bradley Ray (Rich Energy OMG Racing BMW ) measured forces among themselves to see who could be in the vice-leadership.

By the end, O’Halloran would have no opponents to match and he guaranteed another victory. Mackenzie was superior and took second place, while Irwin held third place.
